Tennis Reborn Hits the Press in Monaco

In a world where art and sport rarely cross paths, Tennis Reborn stepped in as an unexpected bridge. Now, following the close of the exhibition in Monaco, the project is receiving attention from the media, collectors, athletes, and art lovers alike — including a feature in Monaco Tribune.

It turns out this pop-up show turned heads in more ways than one — especially for how it reimagines something as everyday (and short-lived) as a tennis ball.

One lovely detail that made the story even more special: the Monte-Carlo Country Club, home to some of the world’s most prestigious tournaments, kindly donated used tennis balls to our show, serving both as part of the exhibition’s spatial installation and as raw material for Amova’s future works.

It’s a small but thoughtful act with big symbolism — a sports institution and an artist rethinking what we discard, and what we might choose to see differently.

Since 2021, the Monte-Carlo Country Club has taken part in a national programme in partnership with the French Tennis Federation and Ecologic, collecting and repurposing used balls to extend their lifecycle.

Amova truly shares this mindset of reuse, transformation, and responsibility — and creates something unexpected. Her works are sculptural paintings made from tennis balls: playful, modern, and tactile.

But here’s the catch: when you look at her work, you’d almost never guess what it’s made of.

The tennis balls are absorbed into textured surfaces — bold yet composed, modern yet oddly timeless.

Their original identity is almost erased, and what remains is something elegant and intriguing: funky, sculptural paintings that shift with light, perspective, and mood.

They’re like visual puzzles — bringing a pop of personality and depth into a space. Bold yet balanced, minimal yet full of movement.

SET 30-30 by Amova

Her most popular series is called Set 30–30: a collection of small, 30 x 30 cm square works in vibrant colours. They look beautiful on their own, but shine when grouped — in sets of 2, 4, or 6 — creating an impactful rhythm across a wall.

And here’s what collectors love most: you get to choose the colours.

Amova invites you into the process. In fact, it’s part of her philosophy — art as dialogue. The result is a work that’s not only sustainable and striking, but also completely personal.
